Monuments and Memorials


The Society is actively involved in the establishment of monuments and memorials in memory of the explorers and Geographers of South Australia.


Flinders/Baudin Plaque
The Flinders and Baudin monument was erected at Victor Harbor in 2005.


Goyder's Line Plaque
Mrs Margaret Goyder Kerr, Grand-daughter of G.W. Goyder helped Society members unveil the plaque commemorating Goyder's Line near Kyancutta in 1983.




Elder Scientific Exploring Expedition Monument.
Erected at Warrina in 1985 to commemorate the departure of the expedition in 1891.




Robert Brown Memorial Lookout
The memorial lookout is located at the top of Mount Brown.
