crossing of the Simpson Desert, 1936, severall years before C T Madigan.
Some of the photographs of the camels walking through belly high
vegetation are very evocative.

Two albums of photographs of South West Pacific and New Guinea, 1880s,
and several of Northern Territory Aboriginal tribes.

Baron Raimund von Stillfried. An album of photographs of Japan in the
1880s.

Sir Francis Younghusband’s photographs of Tibet, 1903/04.
Younghusband lost these on the return from Tibet. The undeveloped roll
of film was purchased by a soldier c1918 and later acquired by an
Adelaide collector. The Society arranged for a copy for itself. Location
of original negatives not now known.

When John MacDouall-Stuart's arrived at the
north coast of Australia (Van Diemen's Gulf) he blazed this tree to
record his accomplishment. Tree was painted by Annie E. Billiatt
from a photograph taken by Police Inspector Paul Foelsche in 1883.

One of a series of 8 sketches by Lieutenant Samuel Gurney Cresswell, of
the HMS Investigator, during the discovery of the North West passage.
