This committee provides the
monthly program of lectures on geographical subjects of importance,
arranges field trips and other special events for members and friends.
Being a committee member provides
camaraderie, investigating the range of geographical developments in the
state and the satisfaction of providing an enjoyable program for members.
The role is to provide a
program that improves the knowledge of our members and advances the
Society's objectives of supporting geographical education and research.
New members are always wanted
as we value their own unique range of experiences and ideas that will
benefit of the other members and the overall aims of the Society.

Program Committee
A draft lecture program for 2011 has been developed with planning well
advanced for 2012. Most of the topics in 2011 will be in the
areas of population, exploration and conservation.
The committee is planning for 6 monthly lecture programs, with an unplanned
night each period, to be able to schedule topical subjects and visiting
speakers as the opportunities arise.
